Landscahftspark, Duisberg Nord just outside Essen in the Ruhr Valley. The world’s first example of protected industrial heritage.

The original blast furnace has been preserved and selectively edited to create a dramatic architectural backdrop to a landscape park with event spaces, climbing, free running and deep sea diving! The park is part of the alpine climbing network and is registered as the lowest altitude at which you can climb in this way the public take responsibility for their own safety.
