Harrogate Convention Centre

Group Ginger have been appointed by Harrogate Borough Council to develop a phased masterplan for the regeneration of Harrogate Convention Centre.

Working as part of Arcadis’ multi-disciplinary team alongside Silcock Leedham, Buro Haphold and Charcoal Blue, the proposals will bring a new lease of life to the venue, modernising its facilities to meet the needs of 21st century audiences. The redevelopment of the ageing site will introduce more flexible spaces that will allow the convention centre to attract a broader customer base and strengthen its economic impact.

Phase 1 focuses on improving conferencing facilities through refurbishing the 2000 seater auditorium, creating delegate breakout spaces, improving access and enhancing front of house areas. The scheme will also look for opportunities to improve the environmental sustainability of the building, supporting the Borough Council’s target to be net zero by 2038.
